Process development for recycling of contaminated hard scrap

This study is concerned with the elaboration of an alternative hydrometallurgical method for reconditioning of hard metal residues, which avoids the state of the art. Therefore a leaching step removes adhered coating material as the binder metal. For the remaining hard phase contingent a suitable treatment for reuse is sought. As a basis for the process development a kinetic research is performed in dependence of varying parameters, which discloses the limiting factors. Hence an efficient and effective process route will result thereby.
