The goal of this doctoral thesis is the production of refractory metal powders for Cold Gas Spraying. To guarantee the deposition of new thin films materials during this process many powder characteristics such as morphology and mechanical properties has to be considered. To identify the relevant properties and the ideal process chain to produce materials of particular specification extensive characterisations and test series are carried out.
